Unencumbered of Soul

Unencumbered of soul,

we tread these dunes like spiders.

I have tasted of the sands

of bitterness, and found them to be sweet.

I have returned to the domain

of my exile, and laughed

in exultation at my woes.

The Lord has been with me, yea,

for I have come back again

unto this place of

exaltation,

forging out of campfire and sky

the Music of my longing.
