In My Silence

For what is sacred and serene,

we bow our heads,

we pray to God.

But what of savagery?

What of the dogs who refuse,

like I, to give way to reform?

I kneel, I weep.

My Lord, I am with Thee,

in tears, in my silence,

the brooding man in fetters

by logic of his reason,

by proof of his madness.

I simply cannot stand

my own vulgarity.
