Kinds of Loneliness

So far as I was concerned,

there were two kinds of

loneliness.

The first

bore

the devastation of

loss

and the leeching quality

of need.

The second

was loving yourself

only

and viewing joy-

ful couples from ample distances,

abiding by

solitude

because it nurtured

the soul,

and cauterized the heart,

yet bled you dry of

need

slowly, now…
