Solar Tale

We need drastic champion,

someone to guide us out of this

rain-soaked delay

of the inevitable.

In downpour, through the mists

of a thousand droplets

steaming off the scalding ground cement,

rising up in vapours

both notorious and true,

I discern your indescribable shadow

climbing walls as you move forward,

thence into the Unknown

as great as yourself.

Tell me once again

before you go: What did they say?

What tales sang out of the Universe

when you imagined you were real?

I want again to know

what a Sun globe shining looks like,

when the clouds have dissipated,

died, dispersed

to show us the Source

of all this Light

behind the Sky.
