O Stranger, Come

Love I wear proud

like a cape, and loneliness,

and Sorrow, I huddle beneath

a blanket when the Night is thick,

before it is split open

like a marble by the Sun,

spearing light shafts plenteous and true

from the all-powerful Sky.

In this land, we know ourselves,

but we do not know you,

O stranger, come

out of the wilderness of yourself.

Tell us your story.

We are eager to hear

of what things have befallen you

upon this great, rolling Road

that carries on.
