I behold, electrified, my God
in Word translated into flesh and heart.
I shall be, soon, a carcass and be gone
into Their Worlds of Paradise, apart
from what is prone to failure and death.
I seek and am attracted to the Light.
This is the Way, and Nature: blood and breath;
the paralyzed made fluid, the cold tried.
